You can login to your router admin page at http://192.168.0.1 with he username admin and password sky (these details are for the current Sagem router at least). There you can see he current speed you are allocated during testing, today I am on 9 so 7.5 is fine.

Six more days raining to go, we live about 1000 metres from the exchange so I’m optimistic that faster speeds are coming tomorrow.

Just a tip for those who are also starting or considering starting with sky ;).

EDIT: Day 5, and the download speed is between 10 and 12.5 Mb… bloody awesome and faster than I was getting with Virgin Media – if it gets faster that’s great, if this turns out to be my maximum then that’s perfectly fine.

Two tips would be to place the router centrally within your house (potentially difficult as it’s pretty much needed to be near your TV set top box so you can connect Anytime + via ethernet to broadband. Second tip is to use something like WIFI analyser for android to work out which channels your neighbours are using so you can pick one with minimal potential interference that has not yet been taken.

Post from: Personal Blog of Brad McAllister

Getting started with sky broadband

(original) Tresor Berlin – my favourite techno club in the world

Ramblings

Documentary

Graffiti

Love

Memories

Nightclubs

Techno Club

Tresor Berlin

Youtube

Can’t understand most of the german…. but I’m so excited I found this long documentary on YouTube about my most favourite of nightclubs…. all my graffiti filled east german memories come flooding back when I see and listen to this documentary.. So I am sending this mail to ensure everyone knows how to take advantage of this.

To do this, touch the ’No docking point free’ icon on the terminal screen and you will automatically be granted the extra time. The status of empty docking points at the nearest six terminals is always available on the terminal screen and maps are displayed showing their locations.

Please note that if you hired more than one cycle this request needs to be made for each cycle on hire.

So if you can actually get a bike when you need one, and find you can’t get rid of it at your destination, doing the above will give you 15 mins extra to race around looking for somewhere slightly further… and further and further to re-dock it…

I tried the hire bikes, found it to be a massive let-down. The gear ratio is too low so you have no hope in hell of going fast on one, waterloo is out of them in the morning, if you get a key for yourself and your wife on the same account, then everytime you borrow a bike yourself you get charged for two bikes (utterly retarded logic).

If you are a tourist and want a way to get around London, they are probably great, for commuting purposes.. no chance.

Post from: Personal Blog of Brad McAllister

Free 15 minutes extra Barclays cycle hire

GoDaddy Coupon Codes – November 2011

Ramblings

Coupon Codes

Domain Renewals

Domains

Godaddy

New Economy

Private Registration

Registrations

September 29

Ssl Certificates

Web Hosting

Non-Expiring GoDaddy Coupon Codes promo10 – 10% off your entire order promo15 – Save 15% on your order of $75 or more promo530 – Save $5 off any order of $30 or more promo749 – Save $3 on .com registrations, transfers and renewals promossl – $12.99 standard SSL certificates (normally $69.95) GoDaddy Coupon Codes for [...]
Post from: Personal Blog of Brad McAllister

GoDaddy Coupon Codes – November 2011

Non-Expiring GoDaddy Coupon Codes

promo10 – 10% off your entire order

promo15 – Save 15% on your order of $75 or more

promo530 – Save $5 off any order of $30 or more

promo749 – Save $3 on .com registrations, transfers and renewals

promossl – $12.99 standard SSL certificates (normally $69.95)

GoDaddy Coupon Codes for every order

cjcchp75 – 15% off $75

cjcdoe10 – 10% off any order

cjcdoe30 – $5 off $30

cjcdoe50 – $10 off $50

GoDaddy Coupon Codes for Domains

cjc749dom – $7.49 .com

promo1399 – $13.99 .co (expires July 31)

cjcPRIVATE – Free Private Registration ($9.99 value) (expires September 29)

GoDaddy Coupon Codes for Web Hosting

cjcdoe20 – 20% off shared hosting

cjc199hstg – $1.99/month hosting first 3 months
Eligible on new Economy plans first 3 months – Regular price is $4.99/month.
